IP31 Enclosures
Enclosures with a protection degree of IP31 have been entirely designed by Elhand engineers. The enclosure ensures excellent cooling performance of transformers, resulting from many years of experience and conducted heat run tests. It features an optimized mechanical design.The enclosure is rigid and can be transported using an overhead crane or lifting device with the use of built-in lifting lugs. Transportation does not require disassembly of the enclosure roof. All enclosure components are demountable. Inside the enclosure, there is a main grounding terminal.
The steel sheet is protected against corrosion through degreasing, phosphating, and the application of a double epoxy-polyester coating. The enclosure provides protection against access to hazardous parts with a tool of diameter greater than 2.5 mm, as well as against vertically falling water drops, in accordance with the IP31 protection degree requirements. It is intended for indoor use in environments with limited humidity and dust levels.
