Motor Reactors
ED3S motor reactors have higher inductance than du/dt limiting reactors, which allows them to more effectively compensate the parasitic capacitances of motor cables and ensure more stable operation of the drive system. Their design enables effective limitation of the voltage rise rate (du/dt), reduction of overvoltages and elimination of electromagnetic disturbances over a wide frequency range.
- Reduction of voltage rise rate (du/dt) at motor terminals
- Limitation of overvoltage amplitude, protecting winding insulation
- Lower motor operating temperature
- Extended service life of the drive system and motor insulation
- Reduction of electromagnetic interference (EMI)
- Reduction of electromagnetic noise generated by the motor
- More stable inverter operation and reduced stress on semiconductor components
- Drive systems with frequency converters (VFD)
- Supplying motors with reduced or medium insulation strength
- Installations with medium-length shielded motor cables
- Systems with high sensitivity to disturbances and overvoltages
- Industrial applications requiring EMI reduction
