Isolating Transformers

Function
Isolation transformers are used in systems where effective voltage separation between circuits is essential. They provide protective separation of the primary and secondary windings, significantly increasing the operational safety of the installation and connected equipment. The separation of windings is achieved by using a split bobbin or an electrostatic shield, which additionally limits the transfer of disturbances and improves power quality.
In the standard version, transformers are designed for mounting on a base welded to the core or by means of bolted mounting brackets. The number of taps can be adjusted upon agreement with the customer, as well as the arrangement of current terminals on one or both sides of the unit. Upon request, enclosures with protection degree IP23, IP44 or IP54 are available, with the possibility of cable entry through cable glands, which further increases environmental resistance and facilitates integration with the installation.

Benefits
  • Enhanced electrical safety due to full circuit separation
  • Protection of connected equipment against overvoltages, disturbances and damage
  • Minimization of short-circuit and failure risks in low-voltage systems
  • Ease of servicing and testing thanks to clear design and simple access to terminals
  • Configurable number of taps, enclosure type and mounting method
Applications
  • Railway industry
  • Marine industry
  • Power quality systems
  • Oil & gas industry
  • Heavy and mining industry
  • Renewable energy sources
  • Power electronics and drive systems

Custom Design

Manufacturing a transformer with parameters other than those specified in the catalogue is possible upon prior consultation. The manufacturer reserves the right to introduce changes resulting from the continuous development of its products. The transformer can also be manufactured in a different version upon prior agreement.
