Siem Aimery - Cable Ship powered by ELHAND Transformers
ELHAND transformers, designed with the highest quality standards in mind, meet the requirements of the most technologically advanced ships. This time, a Cable Ship from Remontowa, powered by ELHAND transformers, will lay cables under the Baltic Sea for wind farms.
The ship 'Siem Aimery', built in the renowned Remontowa Shipbuilding shipyard, represents a high level of engineering thought in the field of specialized ship construction. The vessel is equipped with modern technologies that enable precise and safe cable laying even in difficult maritime conditions, with waves up to 3.0 m high. The Cable Ship has already worked on many well-known offshore wind farm construction projects worldwide, from the USA, through numerous cable installations in Europe, to Taiwan.
The fact that ELHAND transformers have been chosen for this project speaks to their reliability and ability to meet the rigorous standards of the Maritime Industry and the vision of the designers too.
As part of this project, ELHAND supplied six transformers of various capacities, including ET3SM-700kVA, ET3SM-400kVA, ET3SM-99kVA, and ET3SM-75kVA. The transformers are a key element of the ship's electrical infrastructure, ensuring its efficient and safe operation even in extreme weather conditions, ensuring timely task completion by the contractors.
We are proud to be able to provide products for investments that contribute to the protection of our planet. The construction of the Baltic II and Baltic III offshore wind farms, with a combined capacity of 1.44 GW, will significantly contribute to the development of sustainable energy and the protection of the natural environment.
ELHAND has been cooperating with Remontowa Shipbuilding and other renowned shipyards in Europe for years. Our specialization and experience in this field allow us to offer products that meet both the requirements of classification societies and the unique requirements of our customers.
