IP44 Enclosures
Enclosures with a protection degree of IP44 have been entirely designed by Elhand engineers. The enclosure ensures excellent cooling performance of transformers, resulting from many years of experience and conducted heat run tests. It features an optimized mechanical design.
The enclosure is rigid and can be transported using an overhead crane or lifting device with the use of built-in lifting lugs. Transportation does not require disassembly of the enclosure roof. All enclosure components are demountable. Inside the enclosure, there is a main grounding terminal.
The steel sheet is protected against corrosion through degreasing, phosphating, and the application of a double epoxy-polyester coating.
The IP44 protection degree allows installation of the transformer in environments exposed to increased contamination, such as metal shavings, and to direct exposure to water splashes. IP44 enclosures do not have ventilation openings; all heat generated by the transformer is dissipated through the enclosure surface. Therefore, the dimensions of IP44 enclosures are larger compared to IP21 and IP23 versions.

Power ranges assigned to the types of enclosures overlap each other due to the large diversity of the transformer dimensions
transformers depending on the specific technical data (voltage, current rating, the type of receiver).
