Water cooled chokes
Chokes with indirect water-cooling systems use in addition to natural air cooling the forced water cooling of windings and core. This type of chokes has a special insulated cooler which is placed between windings or fixed to the core. This cooler is made of copper pipe with a diameter which ensures adequate flow of cooling medium. Such a solution with high efficiency cooling factor helps to reduce the size of the transformer and allows to evacuate the heat losses outside of the swichtbox.
