Multi-Phase Transformers
Multiphase transformers are used to connect multiphase devices to three-phase network (for example 6-phase or 12-phase rectifiers). These transformers are characterized by complexed construction of secondary windings. There are many possibilities of configurations of secondary windings, which enables to create multiphase circuits. The most common connections are: double-star connection double-delta connection or so called dump windings. Multiphase transformers are mostly used with power electronic converter systems.
